Blight is a recurring antagonist in the DC Animated Universe, specifically within the Batman Beyond continuity. His real name is Derek Powers, a ruthless businessman and CEO of Powers Technology.
Powers initially seeks to merge his company with Wayne Enterprises, but Bruce Wayne refuses. In an attempt to create a super-soldier serum, Powers exposes himself to a radioactive mutagen during a sabotage attempt orchestrated by his underlings.
This exposure transforms him into a living, radioactive being. His skin becomes transparent, revealing his glowing skeletal structure, and he constantly emits radiation. He adopts the moniker "Blight" and becomes a significant threat to Neo-Gotham and Batman (Terry McGinnis).
